Description
Toma ceremonial mask, used in ritual and initiatory contexts, notably by the Poro society. This type of mask, with refined features and imposing horns, embodies the power of protective spirits and ancestors. The presence of the stylised frontal motif evokes symbols of fertility and transmission of knowledge. Carved in dense and old wood, it has a deep natural patina, attesting to long use. Visible cracks and wear marks confirm its authenticity and age.
